Nicholasville, KY – After three days of some of the top tennis across all of Division III tennis, it was Claremont-Mudd-Scripps who were crowned National Champions at the 2024 ITA Division III Women’s National Team Indoor Championship.

Getting revenge over UChicago who took down the Athenas in the 2023 ITA National Team Indoor Championship, CMS looked lasered focused from the very first serve as they wanted to ensure that the title was heading back to California with them.

Starting with doubles, CMS played some of their best doubles all weekend in the championship match. After a 6-2 win on court no. 2, CMS earned the clinch from doubles court no. 1 as Batoshvili & Chilani took down Lin & S. Mikos 6-3 to give the Athenas a slight advantage heading into singles.

Moving into singles play, CMS found the remaining three needed points from courts no. 1, no. 3, and no. 5 with the clinch coming on court one. After dropping the first set 1-6, Lindsay Eisenman found her grove and took down the nation’s top-ranked singles player 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 to secure another national championship for CMS.

Today’s ITA Division III Women’s National Team Indoor Championship marked the second time in program history that CMS has taken home the title, the last coming in 2020 with a 5-4 win over Emory.
