Kearney, NE – After three days of high-level competition, it was Barry University who took home their third-straight ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship.
Taking control of the match in doubles, Barry made up for some earlier blunders in doubles this tournament by winning dominantly on courts no. 2 and no. 3 to claim the lone doubles point over conference foe Nova Southeastern.
Now leading, singles proved to be the much more highly-contested affair for the Bucs as both teams were battling hard across all six singles courts trading points on numerous courts to draw the match close.
For Barry, they would ultimately pick up wins across courts no. 1, no. 3, and no. 5 to secure the overall victory and their third straight ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship.
This title marked the fourth ITA National Team Indoor Championship in program history for Barry over the tournament’s five years of existence.
