Sixteen of the nation’s best men’s tennis teams have all arrived in New York, New York for the playing of the 2024 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship.

Taking place primarily at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center as well as the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, teams will all compete beginning Friday, February 16th, and will each be guaranteed three matches with the two finalists earning an extra match on Monday, February 19th when an ITA Indoor National Team Champion will be crowned.

What Is It

The ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship brings together 16 of the most talented teams from across for a weekend of play that will crown a National Champion at its conclusion. The ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship has been one of the most prestigious national collegiate tournaments since it began and is a staple of the collegiate tennis spring season.  

Besides the host, teams qualify for the ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championships through the ITA Kickoff Weekend which puts the top 60 teams in competition across 15 regional host sites around the country to determine the remaining competitors.


When Is It

The 2024 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will take place from Friday, February 16th through Monday, February 19th with the Championship Match being played on Monday, February 19th.


Where Is It

Hosted by Columbia University, play from the 2024 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will be held at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center as well as the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, New York.

Main draw play will be split between each site on Friday and potentially Saturday, while the Semifinals and Finals will be played at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center with the back draw concluding at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Cracked Racquets will once again be providing coverage of this event with seasoned broadcasters, Alex Gruskin and Mike Cation set to provide commentary all weekend long.

The Cracked Racquets stream on YouTube will incorporate all matches taking place at both the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center as well as the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Broadcasts will begin with the first match on Friday and will continue through the championship match on Monday.


Event Format

The format for the 2024 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will follow the traditional collegiate format, with teams playing a seven-point format, with doubles accounting for one of the possible seven points, and singles accounting for the remaining six points. 

As a single-elimination tournament, teams will play one match each day with the Championship Match being played on Monday, February 19, at 12 p.m. (PT). However, all teams are guaranteed to play at least three matches over the weekend through either the main or consolation draw.

The top eight seeded teams are; Ohio State (1), TCU (2), Texas (3), Virginia (4), Tennessee (5), Wake Forest (6), South Carolina (7), and Columbia (8).


What Is the Schedule

The schedule for the 2024 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will see matches go on court at 9 am (ET), 12 pm (ET), 3:30 pm (ET), and 6:30 pm (ET) each day. The Championship match will be played at 12 pm (ET) on Monday.
