Job Title: Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach

Job Summary:
Juniata invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. Juniata College is a co-educational liberal arts college highly regarded for its academic excellence. Juniata is a founding member of the Landmark Conference, which is committed to conducting intercollegiate athletics programs in a way that recognizes, as paramount, the centrality of the academic
mission at each member institution.
Responsibilities include: Carrying out, coordinating and helping to generating plans that will assist in organizing and managing all aspects of the program for both men and women within framework laid out by Head Coach. This includes specifically being involved in all aspects of practice planning, execution, matches, individual and small group instruction, gym and movement program advisement, academic monitoring, and more. Ability to string racquets, driver college transport vehicles and hit with 8-11 UTR rated players required. Other duties as assigned by head coach. Opportunity includes tournament travel around the East Coast, training and coordinating with various world-renowned facilities such as John McEnroe Academy, The USTA National Tennis Center, and more — with the schedule flexibility to do so.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a background in competitive tennis as a coach or an athlete, an understanding or respect for the NCAA Division III philosophy, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment that values community.
Valid driver’s license required, clear of major violations. Juniata College reserves the right to review driving records to determine suitability for position.
