The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is excited to announce today the return of the ITA Cup Super Bowl beginning at the 2023 ITA Cup which will once again be hosted in Rome, GA.
The ITA Cup Super Bowl provides the opportunity for cross-divisional play, pitting the four divisional winners against each other for the right to compete in the final tournament of the college tennis fall season. The singles and doubles champions of the 2023 ITA Cup Super Bowl, will be awarded a wildcard into the 2023 ITA Fall National Championships which will be hosted at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
Behind a joint effort between ITA staff and the ITA Operating Council, much work has been done to bring this event back at the request of all four divisional operating committees and many ITA-member coaches. With the tournament dating back to 1986, the 2023 ITA Cup Super Bowl will be the first to utilize the Super Bowl format since prior to the 2017 season when the format was changed.
Play from the 2023 ITA Cup will be held from Oct. 12-16 in Rome, GA at the Rome Tennis Center. More information about the ITA Cup and the 2023 tournament can be found on the ITA Cup Event Page.
