The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is proud to announce the selection of the University of Indianapolis for the 2024 ITA Division II Men’s Team Sportsmanship Award.

Awarded each year following the conclusion of the ITA Division II National Men’s Team Indoor Championships, the ITA Division II Team Sportsmanship Award is presented annually to the team that displays exceptional sportsmanship, character, and ethical conduct during the national championship event.

“As a team, we are extremely competitive and love to win and dislike losing, but more than anything we want our players to compete hard and behave with class on and off the court,” said UIndy Head Coach Malik Tabet. “I am proud of how they competed last weekend and even more proud of them being recognized for winning and losing with class.”

The Greyhounds posted a 2-1 record at the championships this past weekend, losing to Columbus State (4-3) before finishing the tournament with back-to-back wins against Wayne State (4-1) and Valdosta State (4-2). Following the conclusion of the tournament, UIndy now holds a 6-1 record for the season.
