TEMPE, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is excited to announce today the selections of George Fox University, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Sewanee: The University of the South as hosts of the 2025-28 ITA Division III Men’s National Team Indoor Championships.

Beginning in 2025, Gustavus Adolphus will serve as hosts, welcoming the nation’s best to the Wilkinson Tennis Complex in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Then in 2026, George Fox will take over host duties, opening their indoor facility in Newberg, Oregon to the top teams in Division III men’s tennis. Finally, in 2027 & 2028, teams will return to the Top Seed Tennis Club in Lexington, Kentucky where Sewanee will return as the host institution.

“The ITA is thrilled to collaborate with George Fox University, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Sewanee: The University of The South to host the 2025-2028 Division III Men’s National Team Indoor Championships,” said Competitive Manager, Lizzie Conti. “These schools are dedicated to creating a tournament that embodies the spirit of collegiate tennis, showcasing talent and sportsmanship, and we look forward to working alongside them all.”

As one of the longest-running small college championships on the ITA calendar, the Division III Men’s National Team Indoor Championships have been played since 2001 and will be in its 23rd year of play this spring. Emory University leads all programs with nine Indoor Championships, while Case Western Reserve University has won the last two titles. 

All three head coaches from the selected institutions give their thoughts on bringing this prestigious championship to their schools below:

“We are honored and grateful to welcome ITA Men’s DIII Team Indoors back to the Wilkinson Tennis Complex and the Swanson Tennis Center at Gustavus Adolphus College in the winter of 2025,” noted Gustavus Adolphus head coach, Tommy Valentini. “Our program, Athletics Department, and the entire Gustavus Community look forward to continuing a long tradition of hosting this prestigious event and to providing the student-athletes of many of the top programs in the country with an exciting and meaningful national championship experience.” 

“We are very thankful and honored to host the 2026 ITA National Team Indoor Championships,” stated George Fox men’s tennis head coach, Jeff Cero. “It’s a great event to kick off the spring, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to host and compete with some of the top programs in the country.”

“Sewanee is excited to return as the hosts of the ITA Men’s National Indoor Championships for the 2027 and 2028 seasons,” proclaimed Sewanee men’s tennis head coach, Felix Mann. “We look forward to providing student-athletes an incredible opportunity for competition and camaraderie at a top-notch facility.”

The 2024 Division III Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will be held from Feb. 23-25, 2024 at the Top Seed Tennis Club as Sewanee welcomes both the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Championships to Lexington this year.
