The 2023 ITA Men’s All-American Main Draw kicked off Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

The top 4 seeds in singles in Eliot Spizzirri (Texas), Chris Rodesch (Virginia), Murphy Cassone (Arizona State), and Sebastian Dominko (Notre Dame) all advanced in straight set fashion. Seeded players that dropped in the first round included [6] Alexander Bernard (Ohio State), [7] Karlis Ozolins (Illinois), and [9-16] seeds Jeffrey von der Schulenburg (Virginia), Pierre-Yves Bailly (Texas), and Geronimo Busleiman (Utah)

Sam Landau (Indiana) continues his run, all the way from Pre-Qualifying, as he beat Carl Emil Overbeck (Cal) 2-6 6-4 6-2. He will look to face Jack Anthrop (Ohio State) in the round of 32.

In the doubles draw, we saw the #3 seeded team of Baylor, fall the Ohio State’s Robert Cash and JJ Tracy 6-4 6-4. Dhakshineswar Suresh and Holden Koons (Wake Forest) would find themselves a win over [5-8] Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt (Ole Miss), the second of losses by seeded teams in the first round of doubles.
