Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 61 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU’s beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Primary Job Duties:  Develop and instruct student-athletes through day-to-day academic and athletic goals associated with University.  Organize and pursue administrative strategies pertaining to the recruitment of student-athletes. Assist head coach with day-to-day operations of the Men’s & Women’s Tennis varsity program. Recruit prospective students to the University. Assist head coach with day-to-day operations during non-traditional practices. Secondary duties within the athletics department to assist with daily operations of the entire athletics program.

Minimum Qualifications: 1-3 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Liberal Studies, Business or a related field. Must have previous coaching experience and a strong knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations for Men’s & Women’s Tennis.

Must have exceptional problem solving, planning, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to a diverse population; ability to effectively motivate student-athletes. Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service, prioritization, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is desired.

This is a full-time, exempt, Contingent II (long-term contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
