The reigning DI National Team Indoors champions, UNC, start the 2021 season at the top of the preseason rankings. The Tar Heels return their full roster from last season – highlighted by Alexa Graham and Sara Daavettila who are the 2020 and 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships Singles Champions, respectively – along with adding three freshman.
The Heels are followed by UCLA – who bump up one spot from the final 2020 season rankings after Florida State falls to No. 9 – Texas, Stanford, and Pepperdine.
UNC, UCLA, Texas, and Pepperdine will all act as host sites for the 2021 Kickoff Weekend. A total 17 out of the top 25 preseason teams are participating in Kickoff Weekend in pursuit of a spot in the National Team Indoor Championship in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The Oracle ITA Division I Women’s Preseason Singles Rankings, Oracle ITA Division I Women’s Preseason Doubles Rankings, and Oracle ITA Division I Women’s Newcomers were released Wednesday.
