POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Sports Marketing Manager, the Sports Marketing Coordinator, based in Louisville, Colorado, is primarily responsible for providing day-to-day support for grassroots marketing initiatives as well as all sponsorship programs for the US market.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of, and strong personal relationships within competitive tennis in the US, and work with Sports Marketing Manager to identify top players and brand representatives.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of competitive pickleball in the US, and work with Sports Marketing Manager to identify player representatives, while also supporting US promotions program.
  • Manage Junior VS Elite junior sponsorship program.
  • Assist Sports Marketing Manager with collegiate promotions program.
  • Provide customer service and order fulfillment for juniors, colleges, seniors, touring pros, academies and other marketing programs and partners.
  • Identify potential improvements to programs and execute plans to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and reach of programs.
  • Travel to approximately 10 events each year (up to 8 weeks total travel) to scout junior and college tennis players, pickleball pros, as well as to provide support for event sponsorships.
  • Assist with execution of marketing programs (tennis and pickleball) including product launches, sponsored events, event logistics, special promotions, etc.
  • Assist Sports Marketing Manager with VIP website maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university is required.
  • Collegiate tennis playing experience is required.
  • Tennis or sporting goods industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, and continued willingness to take initiative a must.
  • Working knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Word Processing (Word) software is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 20% travel time is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Targeted Hiring Range – $50,000 – $60,000 annual base salary with 10% bonus potential based on both quantitative and qualitative objectives.  Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, employer-matched 401(k) plan, disability/life insurance and more.
