The University of Mount Olive (UMO) Graduate Assistant Coach is a 10-month position starting in the fall semester, August 1, 2024 (August 1 – May 31). The Graduate Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Coach, who directs the men’s & women’s tennis program; the Graduate Assistant coaching responsibilities include planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering with the Head Coach. The Graduate Assistant Coach will administer with the Head Coach all aspects of the program in accordance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and University rules and regulations. This individual plays a significant role in helping the University and Department of Athletics achieve its academic and athletic objectives.  Send letter of application, resume and at least three references to:

Graduate program will take two years to complete, and position will be required to maintain criteria to remain in graduate program.  Evaluated after each semester.

Qualifications are as follows:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required. 
  • Background in collegiate tennis. 
  • Must apply and be accepted into the University’s MBA graduate school program.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Resident to apply for this position.

  • Must have a current driver’s license and be cleared to drive a 15-person van per UMO driver policy.
