College Contenders: University of Stanford

Welcome to the fourth edition of the Cracked Racquets 2020-21 College Contenders, focusing on Cardinal Tennis.

The Stanford Cardinal secured the #1 incoming recruiting class in the nation, and Head Coach Paul Goldstein will be looking to mix his talented newcomers with some experienced veteran players. That combination could prove to be lethal as the 2021 version of Stanford looks to be set-up for one of their best seasons in recent memory.

The men from Palo Alto are coming off a bit of an up-and-down year, as they secured victories over some top teams like UCLA, NC State, and Ohio State, but dropped matches against rival USC (twice), Texas (twice), and TCU. Expect it to look a bit different this spring because there will be several new faces hitting the courts that will be contributing right off the bat.

Here is CR’s examination of Stanford’s roster.
