Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is pleased to announce today the expansion of the ITA Tour to include the ITA Winter Series, a four-week tournament series that will be hosted on college campuses across the country.
Building on the success of the ITA Summer Series, which has been greatly overhauled and expanded across the past few years, the ITA Winter Series will provide even more high-level playing opportunities to athletes, beginning the weekend after Thanksgiving and continuing through December.
“The continued demand for the ITA Summer Series showed us just how much desire there is for high-level competition outside the traditional collegiate season,” said Liz Bothwell, ITA Senior Director of Division I Women’s Tennis and the ITA Tour. “The Winter Series extends that momentum year-round to give players another platform for competition, and collegiate facilities a chance to generate revenue during a time their facilities might otherwise be unused.”
As open tournaments, both current and recently graduated college tennis players, as well as high-level junior players and adults can all compete during the ITA Winter Series. For players who have already competed during the ITA Summer Series, their current ITA Player Membership will carry over to ITA Winter Series tournaments.
More information and host sites for the 2026 ITA Winter Series will be available in the coming weeks. Bookmark the ITA Winter Series web page and follow the ITA on social media to stay up to date with the latest information about the ITA Winter Series.
