TEMPE, Ariz. – The field is set, and all eyes are on Waco.

The full list of 46 automatic qualifiers for the 2026 ITA National Summer Championships, which are set to take place from August 8-11 in Waco, Texas, have been determined, signaling the completion of the ITA Summer Series after six weeks of tournament action.

The biggest tournament of the summer awaits. This year, the ITA National Summer Championships offers $10,000 in prize money per gender. As in previous years, the singles and doubles champions of the event will receive wild cards into the main draws of the ITA All-American Championships and the singles and doubles finalists will receive wild cards into the qualifying draws. (To receive the wild cards, players must be returning, NCAA DI student-athletes and doubles teams must be from the same school and remain intact.)

To have qualified for the ITA National Summer Championships, players must have finished in the top of the ITA Summer Points Race Series, reached the semifinal of an ITA Masters Series or competed in any Summer Series Tournament for a chance to be selected at-large.

Qualifiers from this ITA Masters Series represented men’s and women’s programs of all sizes across the country. Power Four schools such as Baylor, Alabama, Virginia, Illinois and Wake Forest were among the qualifiers, while programs such as Case Western Reserve, Pratt Community College, Mississippi Christian and Davidson will also have a student-athlete competing in Waco.

Just three women’s programs received multiple automatic qualifiers in Baylor, Notre Dame and Furman, a sign of the parity throughout the ITA Summer Series.

Host-site Baylor will have some of the highest men’s representation for the championships, as three from the Bears’ men’s program received automatic qualifications, tied with Alabama for schools with the most men’s qualifiers.

The seven highest point-scorers in the men’s and women’s Points Race Series will also compete in Waco. Notre Dame’s Jessica Kovalcik and Indiana’s Hi’Ilani Williams tied for first with 1,110 total points, while Kiana Huerta took claim of the final spot. In the men’s race, St. Mary’s Lucas Castillo-Sanchez kept a firm grip atop the leaderboard with 1,255 total points, pacing Mary Washington’s Jack Riordan (1,130). Both Charlotte’s Jack di Menna and Hampton’s Rafael Padilha, deadlocked for third place at 760 points, were sent through to Waco.

Castillo-Sanchez played in four of the six weekends to claim the top spot, winning the ‘A’ Flight Championship at three different sites in addition to a runner-up finish in Week Four.

Waco will also welcome some of the top talents in the sport when it hosts the summer championships. Among the ITA Masters Series qualifiers were Georgia’s Andrew Delgado, who held the No. 1 doubles ranking in the spring at Wake Forest with partner DK Suresh before joining the Bulldogs in May, plus Virginia’s Katie Rolls (No. 82), Baylor’s Zuzanna Kubacha (No. 88) and LSU’s Addison Lanton (No. 104), who were listed in the ITA’s year-end singles rankings.
