Position Type: Part-Time Assistant Coach
Compensation: $20,000–$25,000 annual stipend

Erskine College is seeking a part-time Assistant Tennis Coach to support the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Erskine competes at the NCAA Division II level in Conference Carolinas and is committed to building competitive programs that provide an outstanding student-athlete experience.

The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to help develop student-athletes, support daily team operations, and contribute to the continued growth and success of Erskine tennis. The majority of responsibilities will take place during the competitive season, with additional involvement as needed throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with practices, drills, and individual player development for both men’s and women’s tennis teams
  • Provide coaching support during home and away competitions
  • Assist with match preparation, strategy, and team organization
  • Help foster a positive, competitive, and team-oriented culture
  • Support recruiting and program development efforts
  • Assist with team travel, equipment, and other program operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Qualifications

  • Previous tennis playing and/or coaching experience required
  • Collegiate playing experience and/or coaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, strategy, and player development
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with student-athletes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a coaching staff
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to drive team vehicles and assist with transportation to matches
