Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), alongside the International Tennis Federation (ITF), is pleased to announce additional professional playing opportunities to ten (10) male student-athletes through the ITF College Accelerator Program.

“We very much appreciate the ITF’s commitment to recognizing and investing in players beyond the traditional professional development structures, providing additional opportunities for deserving collegiate athletes to gain valuable experience on the ITF World Tennis Tour,” stated ITA CEO, David Mullins. “These ten student-athletes have distinguished themselves through outstanding performances this college tennis season, and we look forward to following their continued success both in college tennis and on the professional stage.”

Building on the success of the PIF ATP Next Gen Accelerator, which awards ATP Challenger Tour wild cards to players ranked 1-20 in the Year-End ITA Singles Rankings, the ITF Men’s College Accelerator Program honors players ranked 21-30 in the Year-End ITA Singles Rankings, giving them opportunities on the ITF World Tennis Tour (WTT).

With this program, these ten players will be awarded a varying number of WTT main draw places based on their intentions on returning to college tennis in the upcoming year. For any non-returning student-athletes eight (8) main draw places into M15 or M25 tournaments will be awarded. Meanwhile, returning student-athletes will receive six (6) main draw places into M15 or M25 tournaments beginning June 29 up to tournaments beginning in March 2027.

Featuring several standouts from this past season, this year’s ITF College Accelerator class includes players from the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, and Ivy League. Of note, Mees Rottgering (Wake Forest) and Luis Carlos Alvarez Valdes (Oklahoma) each have career-high ATP Singles Rankings inside the Top 600 of the world.
