Emmanuel University is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach position within its NCAA Division II athletics program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about collegiate tennis and committed to learning hands-on experience in coaching, recruiting, and student-athlete development.
Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful NCAA Division II program, including recruiting, practice planning, game preparation, and administrative duties. This position also emphasizes the holistic development of student-athletes in alignment with the University’s mission.
Responsibilities
The program will provide students the opportunity to gain real-world experience with intercollegiate sports, while earning a master’s degree.
- NCAA Compliance: Conduct programs in accordance with the NCAA regulations, Conference Carolinas guidelines, and within the philosophy of Emmanuel University
- Provide a positive atmosphere that promotes a sense of fairness, organization, commitment, motivation, accomplishment, and fun
- Accept responsibility for the behavior of the team during practices, contests, and any other team related activities
- All other duties as assigned by the head coach
- Provide and contribute to a positive atmosphere that promotes a sense of fairness, organization, commitment, motivation, accomplishment, and fun
- Assist in executing general administrative and game day management functions of the athletic department (if applicable)
- All other duties as assigned the Vice President of Athletics and Associate Athletic Administrator
