Accepting applications for the assistant coach position for the women’s tennis team at Swarthmore College. Swarthmore is a small, liberal arts college located 10 miles southeast of Philadelphia, PA. The tennis facilities on campus include 12 outdoor tennis courts and an indoor tennis center with 3 indoor courts.
The position is part-time at the moment, but with opportunities to supplement income with community clinics, private lessons, and other administrative opportunities.
The assistant tennis position will be primarily responsible for:
- Teaching, developing, and mentoring a diverse group of female student-athletes
- Assisting in team practices, individual workouts, and match competition
- Assisting in scouting, recruiting, and evaluating prospective athletes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- College tennis playing or collegiate coaching experience
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some travel
Preferable Qualifications:
- Interest in collegiate coaching as a career
- Experience with coaching competitive female athletes
- Driver’s License
Term date is September 1 – May 30
