Graduate Assistant – Women’s Tennis

Are you passionate about collegiate tennis and looking to launch your career in athletic coaching and administration? Campbell University, a proud NCAA Division I institution and member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant for our Women’s Tennis program for the upcoming academic year.
This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all facets of a successful NCAA Division I tennis program while pursuing your graduate degree at Campbell University.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Head Coach and Assistant Coach with daily practice planning and on-court coaching, including drills, strategy, and individual player development.
- Supporting team travel logistics, including transportation, meals, and accommodations for away matches.
- Assisting with recruitment efforts, including identifying prospective student-athletes, communicating with recruits, and organizing campus visits (within NCAA guidelines).
- Contributing to scouting reports and game analysis.
- Assisting with equipment management, inventory, and maintenance.
- Supporting team academic success initiatives and monitoring student-athlete academic progress.
- Helping with compliance documentation and adherence to NCAA, CAA, and University rules and regulations.
- Assisting with social media content creation and team promotion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Acceptance into a Campbell University graduate program (e.g., Master of Business Administration, Master of Education, Master of Science in Exercise Science, etc.). Applicants are responsible for applying and gaining admission to a graduate program.
- Collegiate tennis playing experience.
- Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Demonstrated commitment to NCAA compliance and student-athlete welfare.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
