Position: Senior Academy Coach at SPORTED Tennis, Shanghai, China

SPORTED Tennis Academy Is based in the vibrant city of Shanghai. Our mission is to develop an attainable student-athlete pathway with all aspects of development under one banner, and with one key goal: playing NCAA tennis! Our highest pursuit is to attain placement into strong universities through NCAA teams that are a best fit for our players.
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Academy Tennis Coach with Grass root development experience to join our team and help shape the next generation of young student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development of tennis programs for the grass roots colored ball players, with a focus on preparing them to compete in RAINBO Series tournaments.
- Design and implement group lessons plans, following the academy curriculum and weekly themes.
- Provide on-court coaching and mentorship, helping players improve technical skills and tactical awareness.
- Coordinate with international schools and collaborate with faculty to ensure seamless integration of tennis training with students’ academic schedules.
- Track players’ progress, set goals, and provide regular feedback and reports using the academy systems.
- Foster a positive and motivating environment for young athletes to thrive and develop a love for the game.
- Stay up to date with current coaching methods, industry trends, and tennis developments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience (including with colored ball players).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Proven ability to coach and develop players of between 7-11 years old.
- Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, strategies, and fitness training for grass root levels.
- Ability to motivate and inspire younger players.
- Proactive and ambitious on and off court.
- Certifications from international tennis organizations (ITF, PTR, USTA, etc)
