Position: Competitions Manager at SPORTED Tennis, Shanghai, China

SPORTED Tennis Academy Is based in the vibrant city of Shanghai. Our mission is to develop an attainable student-athlete pathway with all aspects of development under one banner, and with one key goal: playing NCAA tennis! Our highest pursuit is to attain placement into strong universities through NCAA teams that are a best fit for our our players.

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and knowledgeable Competitions Manager to lead the planning and execution of our tournament platforms, all designed to support the NCAA tennis pathway. This role is central to creating high-quality, verified match play experiences that give student-athletes meaningful competition and exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tournament Management: Plan, schedule and execute tennis tournaments of all levels, ensuring alignment with UTR, ITF, and CTJ regulations and standards.
  • Platform: Oversee event registration, scheduling, results reporting, and player rankings through UTR and related platforms. Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinate all logistical aspects of tournaments, including venue management, team a management (referees & umpires) draw creation, and player coordination.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all competitions meet the standards and rules set by ITF, UTR, and CTJ, and that all necessary certifications and approvals are obtained.
  • Event Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote tournaments, increasing visibility and participation, and leveraging social media and other channels.
  • Reporting & Data Management: Regularly report on tournament outcomes, player rankings, and event feedback, ensuring that all data on UTR and other platforms is updated and accurate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in managing tennis competitions, especially with UTR systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong experience for tournament organization, including player registration, draws, and results.
• Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with team, coaches, tournament officials, sponsors & partners.
• Organizational Skills: Organizational abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring high standards.
• Tennis Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITF, ATF, UTR, CTJ systems and regulations.
