Florence, SC – For the second consecutive season, and for the nineteenth time in program history, the Tyler Junior College Apaches have been crowned the NJCAA Division I Men’s National Champions.
Earning first place finishes in singles flights No. 5 as well as all three doubles flights, the Apaches totaled nine points more than second place finishers Barton who earned their best finish in program history as runners-up.
Behind Tyler (42) and Barton (33) in the standings were Collin (32.5), Pratt (32), and Cowley (31). All of these teams had historic seasons in 2024-25 and fought hard each day at the NJCAA Men’s Championship.
Tyler head coach, Micah Avance, was named the NJCAA Coach of the Tournament, she becomes first female head coach to win the NJCAA Men’s Tennis Championship since 1979 when Virginia Brown led Odessa to the title.
