Waco, Texas – The opening round of play for the remain men’s teams begin today as the eight remaining teams in the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship all battle it out for a national championship which will be handed out on Sunday.

With staggered start times, fans will have the opportunity to watch all of the four matches on Friday with first serve slated for 11 am (EST) from the Hurd Tennis Facility on the campus of Baylor University.

Leading things off will be No. 1 seeded Wake Forest and No. 8 seeded Columbia. Marking the second time these two have faced off this year, the Demon Deacons won 5-2 in New York back in early February. Both teams have looked dominant in regional and super regional play and should bring lots of excitement to the opening match tomorrow.

Following the opening match will be No. 5 seeded Stanford and No. 12 seeded Mississippi State. As two programs making their first appearance at the final site in over five years, both will be looking to reach the semifinals with a win Friday. The Bulldogs handed Ohio State their first home loss in postseason history in the super regionals while Stanford cruised to a 4-0 win over South Carolina in Palo Alto.

Hitting the courts at 5 pm (EST) will be No. 2 seeded TCU and No. 7 seeded Virginia. In a star-studded affair, the reigning champs in TCU will take on the 2023 NCAA Champions in Virginia for a spot in the semifinals. In the super regional round, TCU got the best of conference foe UCF meanwhile Virginia held off Arizona 4-2 to earn their spot in Waco.

The nightcap will feature No. 3 seeded Texas and UCLA. Coming in as one of the very few unseeded teams to make it into the Elite Eight round, UCLA has found their stride this past month and has taken down a number of top teams in the country. Meanwhile, Texas has once again looked like the powerhouse they have established themselves as, winning the SEC Championship before moving through the regional and super regional rounds with relative ease.

Tickets are on sale now for all-sessions and a link to purchase tickets can be found further on in this release. Each winner from today’s matches will be back in action on Saturday for the semifinal round of play.
