Evanston & Champaign, IL – After four days of competition between sixteen of the nation’s top Division I women’s tennis programs, it was the Georgia Bulldogs coming out on top after beat Texas A&M 4-1 in the 2025 ITA Division I Women’s National Team Indoor Championship finals.

Behind a packed crowded and thousands of fans cheering on their team from home, Tuesday’s final was a familiar sight for SEC fans and college tennis fans in general as the two teams faced off in the 2024 SEC Championship final as well as the 2024 NCAA National Championship match in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Beginning with doubles play, it was the Bulldogs setting the tone early. Earning a 6-1 win on doubles court No. 2, the Bulldogs found their clinching win from doubled court No. 1 where Dasha Vidmanova and Mell Reasco won 7-5 over the top pairing from the Aggies.

In singles, Georgia showed no signs of slowing down, winning there first sets while only dropping five games across 23 games played. Sofia Rojas was the first player to clinch their singles match on the afternoon as she won 6-2, 6-4 over the Aggie freshman, Lexington Reed. Shortly after, the Bulldogs pushed their lead to 3-0 after Aysegul Mert won 6-2, 7-5 over Luciana Perez.

After the Aggies got a point on the board from a straight set win on court no. 3, it was Dasha Vidmanova who clinched the match for the Bulldogs with a impressive 6-1, 7-6 (5) win over Mary Stoiana. This championship marks the second National Championship for Vidmanova this season as she was crowned the NCAA Singles Champion this past fall.
