Overland Park, KS – After another fierce day of competition, the 2025 ITA NAIA Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championship finalists are now set as Georgia Gwinnett (1) is set to face Keiser (2) in the women’s final, while Georgia Gwinnett (1) will take on Tennessee Wesleyan (3) in the men’s final.
Featuring several programs who have experience in finals at the NAIA Team Indoor Championships, Georgia Gwinnett will be making its third finals appearance on both the men’s and women’s sides of play whereas Keiser and Tennessee Wesleyan will each be making their second finals appearance.
Beginning with the women, Georgia Gwinnett (1) was the first team to book their spot in tomorrow’s finals after winning 4-1 over Lindsey Wilson (4). After claiming a highly contested doubles point, Georgia Gwinnett utilized the momentum from the opening point to earn two straight set singles wins from the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions before clinching the match at the No. 2 singles position.
In the second semifinal match of the day, Keiser (2) showcased why they are always considered one of the most talented teams at the NAIA level, winning 4-0 over Xavier (LA) to book their ticket back into the finals. Dominating from the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles lines, the Seahawks showed no signs of slowing down in singles play winning three straight set matches to wrap up the match around the 90 minute mark.
Meanwhile, for the men, Georgia Gwinnett (1) will join their women’s team in the final two, beating William Carey (5) in a closer contest than the final score depicted. After dropping the doubles point, the Grizzlies relied on their depth in singles play to earn victories from the No. 2 thru No. 5 singles spots.
In the biggest update of the afternoon, Tennessee Wesleyan (3) took down Keiser (2) to advance to their second straight Team Indoor Final. After winning the doubles point, the Bulldogs earned victories from the No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 to clinch the victory over the 2023 Team Indoor Champions. As a rematch to the 2024 Team Indoor Finals, the Bulldogs will look to avenge a 4-1 loss last year to claim the 2025 championship.
Tomorrow’s finals will be played at 3 pm (CT) for the women and 6:30 pm (CT) for the men. Both matches will be played from the Overland Park Racquet Club and fans are encouraged to attend free of charge for both matches.
