With the 2023-24 collegiate tennis season now in the books, the time has come to look towards the next season with the 2025 ITA Men’s and Women’s Kickoff Weekend Drafts. Set to be held on Wednesday, June 12th for the men and Thursday, June 13th for the Women, the 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend Draft is a signal of the start to a new college tennis season as the calendar turns to the 2024-25 season.

As a reminder, the 2025 ITA Men’s and Women’s Kickoff Weekend will only feature 14 host sites due to the new format changes coming to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships. Of these 14 host sites, every one will have a total of four teams, for a total of 56 teams on each the men’s and women’s sides of play as they all look to qualify for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.

What Is It?

The ITA Kickoff Weekend Draft is when teams from around the country choose which host site they will play at during the 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend. With many factors considered (travel, opponent, etc.), the Kickoff Weekend Draft is always an exciting event that gives coaches the power to choose where their team plays. With the 14 host sites already determined (based on 2024 year-end rankings), the remaining teams will select where they play based on year-end finish starting with the 15th ranked team and running until all the spots are filled.

When Is It?

The 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend Draft will be on Wednesday, June 12th, and Thursday, June 13th. The Men’s Draft will be the first to commence on Wednesday at noon (EST), while the Women’s Draft will follow on Thursday at noon (EST).
